Welcome to the XanXone!
That's what I call the space inside my head. An infinitely transmutable virtual landscape, a personal alternative to consensus reality. I can choose (and improve) the climate there, and build and decorate my own living space, without having to worry about time, space or expense. And I can share it with the rest of the world if I like.

The Xone is inhabited, too. I invite friends, both human and animal, to visit or to stay.

Some of the humans have counterparts in the consensus universe; some have already passed on to the next plane of existence; some have never had corporeal existence at all. And there are sentient beings which have forms other than human. Some come and go, others are permanent residents. A few function as spirit guides; all are friends.

To meet some of them, click here.

My preferred climate is warm and dry, and I love saguaro cacti, so the setting for the Xone is like the saguaro's special habitat, the Sonoran desert. Click here or on the image for some pictures of my favorite kind of landscape.

Many cats roam the premises, some of them no longer in the consensus universe but living in my memory or others'. To meet some of the cats, click here.

I hope to stable some virtual horses, because I've never had any in the real world.

The Xone is starting a wild animal park as well. So far there are some wild cats, lots of birds and a few other creatures. As new inhabitants appear, appropriate habitats will appear for them.

Casa de la Marquesa
My virtual house has an infinite number of rooms, each devoted to some special interest of mine.

The rooms in the XoneHouse can be as small as a cat carrier, or as big as an opera house. In fact, right now, the one room that has enough substance for a presence on a Web page is the opera house. At the moment it contains an account of my trip to Washington the first weekend in November of 2002 to see Plácido Domingo sing the title role in Mozart's Idomeneo at the Washington Opera. I've manifested it with the help of the XoneFriends, who were eager to know all about it. To read it, click here.

This is really the Casa de la Marquesa, a hotel in Queretaró, Mexico, but I borrowed it for my XoneHouse because I like it so much. What this picture doesn't show you is the wonderful ceiling, which is a not-quite-dome of glass. Click here for a picture.

Rose Portal
Around the virtual house are virtual gardens, borrowed from all over the world -- and home-grown as well. Leading into and out of the XanXone are portals back to the consensus universe, leading to other places of interest. Some of them, such as my workplace and my church, I visit frequently; others I visited in the past or hope to visit in the future. Some I visit only in spirit. Some are actual places; some are domains of imagination, art or history.
As I add other spaces to the Xone, more links will appear. In the future you can probably expect to see a movie theater, a concert hall, a museum, a library, a garden, and maybe even a gym.
